Carlos Vazquez's Obituary
Carlos Vazquez Rosado, age 85, a long‑term resident of Hollywood, Florida, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 16, 2026. It is with great sorrow that we announce his passing.
Carlos was preceded in death by his parents, Juan Vazquez (Vicente) Zayas and Victoria Rosado Rivera; his brothers, Freddie Vazquez and Johnny Vazquez; and his niece, Diana Vazquez.
Carlos had a deep love for art, especially the beauty and craftsmanship of hand‑carved pieces. Creating with his hands brought him peace and purpose, and his work reflected his patience, attention to detail, and artistic spirit. Through his carving, Carlos expressed himself in ways that words could not, leaving behind tangible reminders of his talent and creativity that will forever be cherished by those who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Eileen Ruiz Fuentes Vazquez.
Carlos is also survived by his sons: Carlos Vazquez Jr. (wife, Joanne), Gregory Vazquez (wife, Kathy), Robert Vazquez, Alejandro Vazquez (Tiffanie), and Jose Vazquez (wife, Mary).
He leaves behind his cherished grandchildren: Natasha K. Vazquez (husband, Brian), Antonio H. Vazquez (wife, Tammy), Melissa Thumm, Andalucia G. Vazquez Batts, Diamani Vazquez, and Nicco Vazquez; and his beloved great‑grandchildren: Eliana Lee, Conner Lee, Katherine Vazquez, and Arthur.
Carlos is further survived by his brothers, Jorge L. Vazquez (wife, Shirley) and Marc A. Vazquez (wife, Margie); and his loving sister, Nelly Vazquez Carrasquillo (husband, William).
He will also be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews: Denise, Evelyn, Freddie, Marissa, George, Nicolas, Raquel, Mark, Orlando, Lizzie, Johnny, Sandra, William, Cristian, and Sergio.
Carlos Vazquez Rosado will forever live on in the hearts of his family and loved ones. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
