Deborah Ruth Meyers' Obituary
Deborah “Debbie” Meyers, 64, of Plantation, Florida, passed away on March 23, 2026, after a courageous 20-year battle with Parkinson’s disease.
Debbie was born on April 25 in Natick, Massachusetts, to Lois and Seymour Allen. She was the beloved younger sister of Richard Allen, with Doug Allen joining the family in the years that followed.
In 1981, Debbie met her husband and life partner, Michael, on a blind date. They were married in early 1982 and went on to build a beautiful life together, raising their two daughters, Melissa and Lauren.
When Melissa was born, Debbie devoted herself wholeheartedly to motherhood; a role she embraced with love, strength, and unwavering dedication. Four years later, Lauren completed their family, and Debbie continued to pour her heart into raising her girls, supporting them in every aspect of their lives and always putting them first.
Debbie had a deep love for games and time spent with others. Whether playing Mahjong, Canasta, puzzles, Sudoku, or Sequence, she was always ready for a game; often with a friendly wager of a quarter and a smile.
Debbie was predeceased by her parents, Lois and Seymour Allen. She is survived by her brothers, Richard Allen (and his wife, Lori) and Doug Allen; her daughters, Melissa Stone (and her husband, Justin) and Lauren Lunt (and her husband, James); and her cherished grandchildren, Layla and Blake Stone.
The family kindly requests that donations be made in Debbie’s memory to the National Parkinson’s Foundation.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday March 26 at noon at Levitt-Weinstein Chapels and Cemeteries at Beth David, 3201 72nd Avenue, Hollywood, FL followed by Shiva through Friday.
