Our Aunt Gloria - my friend since I was a ‘tiny one’. I was the first of the ‘southern’ cousins then came Melanie, Jan, Jody and Joseph; and of the ‘northern’ cousins Elaine, Linda, Robert, Michael and Joel.

We met when she accepted our father’s brother’s marriage proposal and I was one of the flower girls. Over the years she’d take me out for fun to her favourite places and shared many talks. She was a role model for women in the professional workplace and with her flare for design met with much success and respect. Throughout the years, our families expanded creating new generations; and, she became the family hub in sharing our families’ journeys. A shining example of being a Cancerian/MoonChild, it is written with a chapter in her book of life - born on June 22 and passing July 22 - of synchronicity and serendipity.

With life’s passings it is ‘us’ the living who feels the missing. May her memory stay alive in the hearts of many who loved her.
