In Loving Memory of Jacob Efroin Sheynkman
November 4, 1941 – July 20, 2026
With deep sadness, we share that Jacob Efroin Sheynkman passed away today, July 20, 2026, at the age of 84. He was a man of immense warmth, intelligence, and deep devotion to his family.
Born on November 4, 1941, in Orsk, Russia, during World War II, Jacob immigrated to the United States with his family in January 1990. A brilliant engineer and visionary inventor, he spent his career designing complex assembly lines and earned 11 patents for his innovations.
After retiring, Jacob moved to Florida, where he thoroughly enjoyed his well-earned retirement, playing cards and billiards with his close friends.
While he accomplished much professionally, Jacob’s greatest joy was his family. He was a deeply loving husband to Rebecca and a wonderful father to his children, Alex and Serge. His gentle spirit, wisdom, and the sacrifices he made to give his family a beautiful life will never be forgotten.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Rebecca, and his children, Alex and Serge.
A service to celebrate Jacob’s life will be held on Wednesday, July 22, 2026 at 11:30 a.m. at Levitt-Weinstein Blasberg-Rubin-Zilbert Memorial Chapel, 18840 West Dixie Hwy., North Miami Beach, Florida 33180, (305) 932-2700.
