Pauline R. Frank's Obituary
Pauline Rebecca Frank, beloved mother, grandmother, wife, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 2, 2026, in Weston, Florida, at the age of 94.
Born on July 20, 1931, in Augusta, Maine, Polly carried her love of Maine with her throughout her life. She later made her home in Brookline, Massachusetts, where she raised her family. Following the retirement of her husband, Don, from the United States Air Force, Polly spent more than two years living in Israel with Don and their daughters, an experience she treasured. She was immensely proud of Don's military service and the life they built together. In later years, she lived in Boca Raton and Weston, Florida, where she enjoyed being surrounded by family.
Polly was known for her fierce independence, strong will, intelligence, and impeccable sense of style. She was caring, witty, funny, and refreshingly honest. Those who knew her best appreciated her sharp mind, quick humor, and unwavering devotion to her family.
She embraced life with energy and enthusiasm. Polly loved dancing, swimming, yoga, shopping, traveling, and cruising. She was dedicated to staying active and took great pride in her health and fitness. She also had a sweet tooth and never passed up the opportunity to enjoy a cookie or a slice of carrot cake.
Above all else, Polly's greatest joy was her family. She was immensely proud of her daughters and grandchildren and took a genuine interest in their lives, accomplishments, and happiness. She celebrated each of their successes and encouraged them to pursue their dreams. Whether serving their country or building successful careers, her grandchildren brought her endless pride and joy.
Polly is survived by her daughters, Audrey Frank-Aponte and her husband, Eddie Aponte, and Laura Grenadier and her husband, Michael Grenadier; her grandchildren, Josh Aponte, Zach Aponte, Dana Aponte, Meryl Grenadier, and Andrea Grenadier; her sister, Mildred Goldman; and many extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly.
She was predeceased by her husbands, Allen Kahn and Donald G. Frank, and by her sister, Harriet Filler.
While her family mourns her loss, they find comfort in knowing she is reunited with those she loved. Her strength, humor, wisdom, and love will remain in the hearts of all who knew her.
A graveside funeral service will be held on Sunday, June 7, at 10:45 a.m. at Sharon Memorial Park, Sharon, Massachusetts. Please follow the signs to the graveside service, which will direct you to the rear of the administration building for the burial.
Shiva will be held at the Aponte residence in Weston, Florida, from Monday, June 8, through Wednesday, June 10. Additional details will be shared with family and friends.
May her memory be a blessing.
