Peggy Jean Julia McEwen's Obituary
Peggy Jean Julia McEwen, 79, of Fort Lauderdale, Florida passed away March 11, 2026. She was born on December 18, 1946, in Baltimore, Maryland and resided in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Beloved wife of the late John McEwen, loving mother of Cheryl Lovejoy and Patricia Lovejoy. Peggy was a beloved mother receiving the highest honor among Mother's for her dedication and devotion to her handicap daughter Patricia Lovejoy and for her Amazing Ability to love unconditionally her daughter Cheryl Lovejoy. The sacrifice she made for these children is ultimately amazing and for other handicapped children working for United Cerebral Palsy. For many years her nickname was "Mommy" and everyone called her "Mommy". She was a beautiful mother all her life. We love her more than anything in the world. She also was a volunteer for the Holy Cross Hospital. In her younger years, as a candy striper, she did many things to contribute to the community as well as the children who had special needs. We loved her very much and we're going to miss her with all of our hearts. She will be in a better place I know with all of my heart because of all her sacrifices for others. God has truly blessed her and has blessed us because of her. Thank you mom. Patty and I will always love you we will never forget you and we will be with you again...and Daisy too! Chapel Service, Wednesday, March 18, 2026, 12:15 PM at Levitt Weinstein Blasberg-Rubin-Zilbert Memorial Chapel, 18840 West Dixie Hwy., North Miami Beach, Florida 33180.
