Ronnie S. Oller's Obituary
Ronnie S. Oller, 78, of Pembroke Pines, FL passed away July 28, 2026. Beloved wife of Dr. Robert Oller for 44 years, loving mother of Marc (Rhea) Siegel, Tracy Oller and Ryan Oller, cherished grandmother of Myia Siegel and Kyle Siegel.
Early in Ronnie’s life, participation in community events, temple affiliations and national affiliations have always been important. As an adult, she maintained her stature in the community by belonging to the chamber of commerce in every city in which she lived, and being active in community events. Her greatest challenge in life was growing up essentially without a family, and determining from that point forward that she wanted no child to go without love.
Beginning in 1969 for a period of 12 years, Ronnie owned and operated a day nursery for the underserved, funded privately and by the federal government for 115 children, 12 hours daily. These children were deprived of healthy family relationships. Her program gave many of them the only home they knew, nourishing their minds and bodies, keeping them off the streets and in a home and educational environment, before organizations such as the Boys and Girls Clubs were ever heard of.
During her 27 years working in Real Estate while living in Florida, Ronnie was honored with awards by the South Florida Builders Association. As a single mother of two she still found time to give back to the community by being active in numerous organizations. She was an initial member of the founding board of the Davie Boys and Girls Club, which became her passion. She headed the development of the birthday club for those young children who never had a birthday celebration. She was also in charge of the community development committee, which strives to match children with community sponsors and give them a healthy outlook for their lives and future. She currently sits on the executive board of the Boys and Girls club of Broward County.
In 1997 she independently co-chaired an event to raise $95,000 for diabetes research.
For the past 12 years Ronnie’s current challenge has been Nova Southeastern University’s “A Day for Children.” Chairing the event as a volunteer, she expanded the attendance from 500 to last year’s 12,000 while providing health screenings for 5,000 children with participation by 150 community organizations providing services for children.
As a member of the Prestige Club, Ronnie has been instrumental in raising money for less fortunate and medically challenged women and their children. She now sits on the executive board of this organization.
In 2006, Ronnie was honored with the “Advocate of the Year for Children Award” by the American Women’s Business Association. In 2007 she received the “Presidential Award” for over 4,000 hours lifetime volunteer hours. Distinguished Service in Community Engagement .
Community Service also includes:
_A consultant in providing nutritious lunches for children at Nova Southeastern University Mailman - Segal Institute.
_A member of the Consulting Board for Nova Southeastern University’s School of Humanities and Social Sciences (SHSS), helping to educate future providers in the areas of family counseling and conflict resolution.
_A member of the of the Board of Susan B. Anthony Drug and Rehabilitation Center, working to place these special women back into the community and reunite them with their families and children.
_Board member for the past 4 years of 211-Broward, on the event and development committees.
_President of the local Davie board of the Boys and Girls Clubs, which I have been working with for the past 20 years.
_Currently developing a consulting medium group to increase the strength of all 12 boards as advisors to the Corporate Board.
_Advisory Board Member of Special Olympics.

With her husband, Dr. Robert Oller and their extended family, Ronnie has 4 children and 5 grandchildren.
All of the above are a result of being in this community for the past 45 years and developing very close relationships with wonderful, passionate, and loyal people. Simple as she points out on many occasions her mission and passion is to make a difference.
