Susan Patricia Weil's Obituary
Susan Patricia Weil passed away on May 28, 2026 after battling a lung condition. She was married to the love of her life, Kenneth Weil, for almost 40 years, who she now joins in spirit. She is survived by her two sons Scott and Jonathan, her daughter-in-laws, Jodi and Laura, her beloved grandchildren Anabella, Devin, and Kendall, her brother and sister-in-law Bob and Peggy Brin, her brother-in-law and sister-in-law Norman and Shari Weil. She loved each and every one of her nieces and nephews dearly (including grandnieces and grandnephews). She was born in Chicago, Illinois, and grew up in Glencoe, graduating from New Trier High School. The theme of her life was passion for life and survival through strength. She was given a dire prognosis while battling viral meningitis at age 3 and survived. She battled cancer 4 times and survived. She battled a debilitating lung condition far longer than doctors thought she would. She never wanted to leave this life because she adored the people and family in it. She was an extremely talented artist and much of her art will live on in the homes of her children and grandchildren. She was known for making the best chocolate chip cookies in America. But she was most proud of being the best wife, mother, and grandmother that she could possibly be. Above all, Suzy wanted every one of her loved ones to know how deeply she cared for them. She succeeded. May her memory be a blessing. The funeral service will be on Sunday, May 31st 10:00am, at Levitt Weinstein Funeral Home, 3201 N. 72nd Ave, Hollywood, FL, 33024. Interment will follow at Temple Beth El Memorial Gardens at 4900 Griffin Rd., Davie, FL 33314.
